Один из фэнов The Cramps (создатель блога http://blog.wfmu.org), изучая интервью Лакса и Айви (в которых они часто упоминали свою любимую музыку), а также книгу The Incredibly Strange Music, начал составлять музыкальные сборники, названные Lux and Ivy’s Favorites (LAIF).
В них представлена совершенно раритетная, странная, причудливая, некоммерческая музыка, как правило, незнакомая отечественным слушателям. Этими сборниками я с удовольствием делюсь с вами (во многих этих mp3 мной исправлены и прописаны тэги).
Лакс и Айви всегда были фанатичными коллекционерами рок-н-ролла, гаражной и любой другой замечательной музыки, и кроме того, они являлись благодарными поклонниками всех своих любимых музыкантов и всегда в разговорах с прессой упоминали группы, вдохновляющие их. Это и серф, и гаражный панк, и лоу-фай рокабилли, и ду-воп, а также экзотическая этника – музыка, будто сошедшая к нам из дешевых кинотеатров, где крутились хоррор-фильмы класса B.
Здоровенный пласт музыки от Линка Рэя до Джека Ницше. Есть также трехдисковый сборник SONGS THE CRAMPS TAUGHT US, но в отличие от него Lux and Ivy’s Favorites никогда не выходили на носителе и доступны только в интернете.
